Support the Centre

Western Australia is an incredibly diverse and creative place. Recognising the wonderful people who have and continue to make this place their home, and with a desire to tell their stories the Centre for Stories was born. In just two years, the Centre for Stories has established itself as one of Perth's leading community and arts organisations, dedicated to collecting and sharing stories to strengthen connections and encourage a more engaged and inclusive community.

Without the vision and generosity of Caroline and John Wood, our founders and patrons, the Centre for Stories would not exist and we wouldn't be able to create or maintain our programme and creative activity. Now, we want to build on our early success, and ensure that the Centre for Stories remains one of Perth's most creative and socially conscious organisations.

That is where you (as an organisation or an individual) can play a vital role. The Friends of the Centre for Stories is an incorporated organisation that funds all activities that take place at the Centre for Stories, and we are seeking both financial contributions and in-kind donations to help us achieve our storytelling, story writing and story collecting programmes. Whether you can give a little or a lot, any donation to the Friends of the Centre is very much appreciated.

We are very thankful for our various partners and funders. And thank our community for listening, sharing and helping to preserve our stories.

Support the Centre for Stories through the Friends of the Centre for Stories.

Your support will be used to:

(i) enable people from diverse backgrounds to learn the art and craft of storytelling,

(ii) showcase the work of emerging writers and oral storytellers

(iv) turn events into podcasts for sharing to a wider audience
