POETRY WORKSHOP

  • Centre for Stories 100 Aberdeen Street Northbridge, WA, 6003 Australia

Poetry Workshop is a safe and dynamic meeting where you can craft your poetry and offer feedback to other poets. It provides a collaborative opportunity to share your work-in-progress. It will be focussed on page poets who consider themselves to be emerging. This will be a friendly and relaxed environment so bring a plate of food to share if you like and an open frame of mind. Bringing a poem and providing constructive comments on others' work is a must.

AMY HILHORST is a Perth poet and researcher. Amy’s own poetry has been published in Writ, Verity La, Axon, Cordite and Westerly. Her research explores psychic disturbances in the poetry of Francis Webb, Bruce Beaver and Michael Dransfield, focusing on representations of a lyric subject in ‘breakdown’.  She is co-guest-editing a special online issue of Westerly, due for release in April 2017.
