STORYTELLING FOR CHLDREN

Join us for our first ever Storytelling for Children event. This event hopes to provide a fun, creative space for parents and children to meet and interact. Bring your little ones and come along for an afternoon of listening, telling and creating stories.

"Come on Pumpkin jumpin jumpin"

This is a story about a brave old woman who goes to stay with her daughter.  On the way to her daughter's house she meets a wolf and a tiger who wants to eat her.  She tells them  that she is old and frail and they should wait till she gets back when she is round and fat.  On the way back the smart old lady tricks the wolf and the tiger and saves her life.

A classic old old story from Maharashtra - India.

This story will be enacted by Leena who hails from Bombay.  Leena loves stories, grew up listening to stories and telling stories.  In this session, she shares her love for story-telling and play acting.  This is an action story so come along ready to dress up, sing, act and have a lot of fun.

Costumes provided!
