AUSTRALIAN SHORT STORY FESTIVAL: THAT'S A WRAP!
The inaugural Australian Short Story Festival came and went and left us with a plethora of cherished memories and plenty of new friends. Short story writers came together with the public to acknowledge an often overlooked art form, and perhaps Cate Kennedy prophetically summed it up best in her opening address: 'Maybe just for this weekend, let's quit justifying our existence and celebrate!'—and celebrate we did.
Thank you to the board members, volunteers, facilitators, writers and everyone who attended the events and contributed to the success of the Festival. The Centre for Stories was proud to be a partner of the Festival and we can't wait to see it grow in the years to come. We hope you enjoy these photos from the weekend.
