Centre for Stories

Hear debut authors paired with established authors talk candidly about their journeys to publication: their highs and lows, friends lost, and amount of wine and chocolate consumed during the writing process. Authors will confess to their innermost fears and share their vulnerabilities.

Join Michael Trant and Rachael Johns for an enlightening and entertaining event as they chat about their novels, all things rural, romance, and the joys, frustrations and elations of the life of a writer. Michael is an agriculturalist and writer, his debut novel is ‘a sweeping tale of love and loss, and the highs and lows of life on the land, from an utterly authentic new voice in rural fiction.’ Rachael is an award winning best selling romance writer, with over 25 books to her name- all with hunky looking men on the covers.

Thanks to Underground Writers, copies of Rachael and Michael’s novels will be available for purchase on the night! Underground Books is a not-for-profit bookstore that specialises in debut Australian titles. Funds from the store go towards supporting Underground Writers projects which provide information, education and encouragement to emerging Australian writers.
