ATTENTION: This event has been re-scheduled to MARCH 2019
Hear debut authors paired with established authors talk candidly about their journeys to publication: their highs and lows, friends lost, and amount of wine and chocolate consumed during the writing process. Authors will confess to their innermost fears and share their vulnerabilities.
Join Michael Trant and Rachael Johns for an enlightening and entertaining event as they chat about their novels, all things rural, romance, and the joys, frustrations and elations of the life of a writer. Michael is an agriculturalist and writer, his debut novel is ‘a sweeping tale of love and loss, and the highs and lows of life on the land, from an utterly authentic new voice in rural fiction.’ Rachael is an award winning best selling romance writer, with over 25 books to her name- all with hunky looking men on the covers.
Michael Trant has been involved with agriculture for most of his life. After 16 years on farms and stations, Michael took up writing to give an insider's perspective on rural life. Michael currently lives in Perth. Ridgeview Station is his first novel.
Rachael Johns is an English teacher by trade, a mum 24/7, a chronic arachnophobic, a Diet Coke addict, a podcast junkie and a writer the rest of the time. In 2016, The Patterson Girls was named General Fiction Book of the Year at the Australian Book Industry Awards. She was voted #13 in Booktopia’s Favourite Australian Author poll in 2018. Rachael lives in the Perth hills with her hyperactive husband, three mostly gorgeous heroes-in-training, two ginger cats, a cantankerous bird and a very badly behaved dog.
