Remember what it was like to listen to a great story? Lying in bed, sitting around a camp fire, curled up on a sofa or lazing on the beach while someone read exciting, spooky or funny stories that ignited the imagination?

Lit Live is a new way to enjoy great short stories, read to you by great storytellers.

Sharing stories is the universal way to make sense of our lives; they affirm who we are, cross time and cultural barriers, allow us to enjoy similarities and understand differences.

November’s theme is A Child’s Mind.

The November edition of Lit Live features actor and master storyteller Andrea Gibbs (founder of Barefaced Stories), and emerging young actor Will McNeill.

No matter how old we are, we are always a child in our parents’ eyes. Come and listen to stories about children, about childhood memories, the difficulties of being a teen and the even greater difficulties of being a parent!

Writers include Ian McEwan, Goldie Goldbloom, Tim Winton and local writer Hellie Turner.

This month, Lit Live is giving away four double passes for the new Australian film, ‘Book Week.’ Winners will be drawn on the Wednesday evening of the event.

This is the last Lit Live event of the year – but we’ll be back again next year! Come a share an end-of-year drink and some great new stories with your new Lit Live family!
