Huge ideas in a tiny space. Every word earns its place. Flash Fiction is powerful short-short stories (generally under 1000 words) that deliver intellectual and emotional punch. They are insightful grabs of the world and its people. They look into the cracks, down the alleyways, around corners. They make the jaw drop and the mind whirl.
The Flash Fiction Fan Club, run by Laura Keenan and Linda Martin, is for fans and writers of these short-short stories to workshop, develop and share new pieces in a group setting. Fortnightly drop-in sessions include reading, feedback, prompts, examples and writing – and wine and cheese!
You don’t need experience, but we suggest you have a good understanding of the form. Here’s a Flash Fiction piece by Nancy Stohlman to get you started.
