'Poetry In Conversation' is a chance for you to listen to some of Perth’s best poets in an interview format with Robert Wood. These sessions are designed as an introduction and exploration of how poets write, read and talk. They will feature readings of poems as well as the opportunity for you to hear about the poet’s influences, process and work. This will give you the chance to listen to the stories behind the poetry for which they are known. Come along, grab a glass of wine and settle in to hear what our best wordsmiths are up to.

The 'Poetry in Conversation' series will continue with JEREMY BALIUS. Jeremy is a poet, editor and publisher with an interest in experimental writing and language art. Born in Dallas, raised in Germany, educated in Los Angeles and a resident of Perth, he has a varied poetic practice. His work engages with issues of text, boundary, transformation, and has been anthologised and published in various local and international journals. He founded the publishing house Black Rider, and is editor of Outcrop with Corey Wakeling.

ROBERT WOOD has interned for Overland and Wild Dingo Press, worked for Australian Poetry, edited for Peril and Cordite, been a columnist for Cultural Weekly and is on the faculty of The School of Life. At present he works for the Centre for Stories.
